The homeland of the Viking kings is centrally positioned halfway between Bergen in the north and Stavanger in the south. It is easy to travel from centre to centre between these two western Norwegian cities. A journey along the coast gives you some great experiences. Take the Coastal Bus or the Flaggruten high-speed ferries if you prefer to arrive by sea. If you travel from east to west, you can take the Haukeliekspressen Express Bus from Oslo via Røldal and Åkrafjorden to Haugesund. Haugesund Airport Karmøy has an excellent choice of routes to destinations inside and outside Norway. A day pass is available on the Kolumbus transport system if you would like to travel around locally by bus.
